Description

Bright Achievements is a leading provider of in-home ABA services, committed to delivering high-quality and individualized support to clients across Virginia. We are seeking BCBAs or BCaBAs to conduct in-person assessments and provide ongoing client support throughout the state. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy hands-on clinical work, autonomy, and meaningful client interaction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and provide clinically sound recommendations for treatment dosage within a virtual, focused-care ABA therapy model.

  • Perform in-person observations in the client’s natural environment, including general behavioral observations, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), direct assessments, and caregiver interviews.

  • Develop high-quality initial treatment plans and review them collaboratively with families and the assigned BCBA to ensure clarity, alignment, and continuity of care.

  • Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with Bright Achievements policies and established professional standards, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.

  • Communicate directly with families to coordinate and schedule in-person initial assessments and required virtual follow-up appointments.

  • Support skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans by monitoring progress and adjusting programming as needed.

  • Deliver parent/caregiver training in alignment with authorization requirements.

  • Maintain organized, accurate electronic data and documentation using Rethink Behavioral Health.

Required Skills & Qualities

  • Must be willing to travel for in-person assessments across Virginia

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Strong ability to build positive, supportive relationships with clients and families.

  • Commitment to culturally responsive ABA practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple assessment assignments

  • Maintains up to one direct client caseload 

Qualifications

  • Active BCBA or BCaBA certification in the United States.

  • Master’s degree (BCBA) or Bachelor’s degree (BCaBA).

  • Experience conducting initial and re-assessments within the state of Virginia

  • 1+ years of ABA experience preferred.

  • 8-Hour Supervision Certificate preferred but not required.
